Background
David Mallen Designs has created top-notch graphic design for
more than 10 years. Starting his career in Print Design has
given David Mallen a solid background in creating clean,
cutting-edge Web sites and print collateral. His graphic
design experience began in the newspaper business, creating
layouts for the San Diego Union Tribune, the Daily Breeze,
and the Ventura County Star. Since 2000 David has been the
sole proprietor of David Mallen Designs, creating a diverse
portfolio ranging from Web sites to banner ads as well as
trade show banners, software boxes, brochures, magazine ads,
catalog layouts, and business cards.
Education
David Mallen graduated from the University of California
at Santa Cruz with a bachelor of arts degree in Literature.
Furthering his education, David completed the award-winning
Journalism program at Santa Barbara City College and continues
to enroll in graphic design and Web design classes.
Tools
David Mallen Designs uses the latest software to create it's
designs. For print projects we use the Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat) as well as
QuarkXPress. For Web Design we use Macromedia Dreamweaver,
Flash, Fireworks and Adobe ImageReady. Through continued
collaboration with artists, photographers and other creative
professionals the highest quality of work is achieved.

Search Engine Optimization - the art of achieving higher placement
in internet searches by Google & Yahoo! - is something
we take very seriously at David Mallen Designs. While many
companies will offer higher placement by trying to trick the
search engines, (which only leads to being ignored) we pride
ourselves in following the Webmaster guidelines of Google and
Yahoo! to get you a higher ranking in search results. |
